Squadron Supreme: New World Order

™ and ©1998 Marvel Characters, Inc.

After months in a parallel dimension, the Squadron Supreme have at last found their way back home. Unfortunately, their joy at their return quickly sours. After the events of the Squadron Supreme limited series, they realized their plans to ensure world peace through global domination caused more harm than good. Unfortunately, they did not offer the world any better options, and the planet is now torn between two extremes: the Nazi-like militaristic rule of tyrants using the symbol of the Squadron’s own fallen comrade, Blue Eagle, and the violent terrorist tactics of the Nighthawks, also named after a former teammate.

The Squadron tried to fix all the world’s problems once before, with disastrous results. Dare they try again? And if they do, will anyone trust them?

Taking the group “back to basics,” this one-shot shakes the membership roster up, trimming the team down to its core members.
