First the good news: this mini-series has nice coloring; the artist uses Photoshop inventively to add texture effects to various backgrounds; and overall, the production values are high for an independent comic book.

In short, all is well until you actually read the darn thing.

Razor consistently rates as one of the most unreadable, offensive, and unredeeming comics we’ve ever experienced. It runs the gamut from sickening violence, bad language, “smack my b*tch up” attitudes toward both men and women, and clichéd, purple prose. Make no mistake about it, this is a terrible comic—and not in the “so bad its sort of good” mold either.

We can only suppose that “Razor: Burn” was meant as handling instructions for anyone unfortunate enough to come into contact with this sorry excuse for a comic.
