Wolverine: Netsuke

A vision of his late wife Mariko takes the mutant Logan, Wolverine, back to her native land. However, what seemed to be merely a dream is actually reality, and Wolverine is transported into the past during feudal Japan. Once there, a spirit and its warriors confront him. Wolverine also finds a gift, an ornamental accessory called a netsuke, apparently from Mariko. Writer and illustrator George Pratt plumbs the depths of Wolverine’s relationship with Mariko, using the historical context to explore the bond they once shared.
