Written and illustrated by Doug Anderson, Greenleaf in Exile is an unconventional fantasy series, one that takes place in modern times. The Greenleaf of the title is actually the god Herne, who has power over all animals. Exiled from his native Albion, Herne reappears as Mr. Greenleaf to Betty Campbell, a writer thrown into a severe depression after the loss of a close friend. Greenleaf asks Campbell to pen his biography, a story involving a war with Hell. Wanting respite from her emotional pain, Campbell agrees; however, when demonic forces seek Greenleaf on Earth, they go after her as well.
