The Young Witches IV: The Eternal Dream

    (Eros, 2000)
™ and ©2000 F. Solano Lopez and Eduardo Barreiro

What starts out as an erotic Victorian-era pot-boiler is actually not at all what it seems. Young Witches tells the story of Lillian Cunnington, 18-year old psychokinetic and pupil of Dr. Sigmund Freud (yes, that selfsame father of psychoanalysis). The other main character, 17 year-old Sarah Renton, is staying with Cunnington and Freud, after she was found by Sherlock Holmes. As if that weren’t enough, Dorian Grey, Friedrich Nietzsche and many other real and fictional figures from the late 19th century pop up in this sexual fantasy. Aside from the fact that this comic might be a real case for copyright infringement, the story and action (sexual and otherwise) are compelling, especially as Lillian realizes the Victorian world in which she live may be nothing but a futuristic virtual reality fantasy—the “eternal dream”—concocted by a computer gone mad. The latest installment in Eros’ popular Young Witches saga by Pol and F. Solano Lopez is certainly the most ambitious of the lot—and possibly the sexiest. For adults only.
