™ and © Vanguard

From futuristic cities to jungle scenes, Roy G. Krenkel’s work spans the various genres of the fantasy/sci-fi realm. Krenkel’s work is raw, primal, and perfect for pulp fiction covers, of which several are archived in this edition. Perhaps best known for his original artwork on Tarzan, Conan the Barbarian, and the Wizard of Oz, two hundred and fifty of Roy G. Krenkel’s fantasy illustrations are collected in this volume. Commentary from by many of Krenkel’s friends and colleagues is also included amongst Krenkel’s work, among them are Al Williamson (Star Wars artist), Angelo Torres (MAD cartoonist) and Frank Frazetta (legendary sword and sorcery artist).
