Magnus Robot Fighter was a little-remembered super-hero from the Silver Age of comics who was resurrected with great success by Valiant Comics in the early 1990s. Magnus, a hero from the future, fights the tyrannical rule of robots who have enslaved humanity. In this series, published by Acclaim Comics, Magnus returns to the twentieth century to alter the course of history so that a different future will unfold and the robots will never come to power. This theme, evocative of the Terminator storylines, works within the context of this standard super-hero comics with some humorous dialogue by Tom Peyer, and bright, nicely detailed artwork by Mike McKone and Mark McKenna.
