In the future, technological advances will alter many aspects of everyday life, but apparently a persistent problem will remain: what to do with all the garbage. In the late twentieth century in East Africa an ambitious, but unscrupulous, man named Hassler realized that the political upheaval in the region had created the need for someone to dispose of all the debris. He painted the word “Mullkoenig” (German for “Trash Kings”) on his trucks with garish colors, and from that humble genesis an empire was born. Five hundred years later Hassler’s family and company are known as the Mullkon Empire, and now the garbage is being thrown into a black hole. But one day the black hole throws something back…

This series from Techno Comix is a saga of the intrigue and mystery inherent in sprawling family businesses. Science-fiction author John Jakes provided the concepts from which this series was adapted.
