Vampirella returned from seeming death, only to find herself stranded in Drakulon, the dimension of her birth. Once she believed it to be an alien planet, but later learned that Drakulon is a region of Hell, created by her mother Lilith and sustained by a tributary of the river Styx. But Drakulon is dying; its blood-filled river dry and the population decimated.

Vampirella has dedicated herself to restoring her homeland to its former glory. She has armed herself with various religious talismans, including spiking her bodysuit with barbs taken from the True Cross. In addition, Vampi can now generate an evil-crushing holy light from her own body.

Vampirella has battled hordes of vampires and even her own mother. She has beaten back outside invaders, including Lady Death. But all her previous battles with the creatures of Hell pale in comparison to what lies ahead, as Vampi finds herself facing the forces of Heaven itself.
