Forbidden Tales of Dark Mansion

Ghosts, ghouls, and reincarnations haunt the dark mansion, though the stories take place in different locations and times. Formerly known as Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love, this series turned from romance to mystery tales using the supernatural, science-fiction, or weird mystery with an often ironic ending. In one story, reminiscent of television shows such as the Twilight Zone, a boy is captured by insect-like invaders who plan to study him to learn the secrets of humans in order that they might take over Earth. Only an attack by the “soil-dwellers” allowed him to escape…and regain his natural, much larger size. As it turned out, the boy had been captured by termites in a tree in his own backyard; the soil-dwellers are merely ants.
