The beautiful and deadly Shock and the roguish and deadly King are top-notch bounty hunters for whom no threat is too dangerous and no challenge too great. There aren’t many lines they’re unwilling to cross, either, in the name of meeting their clients' needs, a mindset that frequently sets them at odds with both sides of the law. But when they find themselves gaining superpowers, inexplicably, their otherwise manageable lives begin spinning out of control. Suddenly the stakes have gotten a lot higher, and so have the body counts associated with their missions.

Beautifully drawn by Joe Abraham and written with a dark humor by George T. Singley, the series isn’t afraid to confront moral quagmires involving heroes, villains, and individuals whose motivations lie somewhere in between. There’s also plenty of blood and death, thanks in part to the mysterious creatures that give the series its name.
