The Knights of the Round Table live again, reincarnated in The Knights of Pendragon. Beginning with Commander Dai Thomas of New Scotland Yard, various people in the modern day found themselves possessed with the spirits of the legendary Knights. Thomas, who claims to be possessed by the spirit of Gawain, asserts that the spirits have returned in order to save the Earth from evil, and from the abuses of mankind.

Thomas is joined by Albion, a former super-hero, who, like Merlin, remains eternally young; Adam Crown, who appears to be a reincarnation of King Arthur; Union Jack, another former super-hero who becomes the Lancelot of the circle; and Kate McClellan, a Guinevere whose life, until recently, was that of an investigative reporter. Now clad in high-tech versions of their old armor, these heroes have risen once again to write new legends upon the pages of history.
