A century into the future, nearly all of the Marvel Universe’s greatest heroes have long since died out. Those that survive do so either through scientific advances, or through the actions of their descendants and followers. Anti-hero The Punisher continues to fight a war on crime, but now it’s a woman who wears the skull: Frank Castle’s daughter. But even Cossandra Castle is getting up there in the years, and hopes to pass the fight on to her teenaged son; although it’s an inheritance that few would eagerly accept.

Puniher 2099 is one of a series of one–shots set in a world where the heroes have gone underground and Sentinels police every corner. Written by fan favorite Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead) and drawn by Pop Mhan.
