Jackson King has been around and about the Wildstorm Universe, and has seen superteams and superheroes come and go. Although his tenure as Stormwatch’s leader was brief and disastrous, and his relationship with the Authority was poor, he still feels he has something to offer the universe. And thus is the Monarchy born. Joined by significant other Christine Trelane and various powerful recruits both young and old, he means to restore a sense of order to the universe—both our own and similar ones across the Bleed between them. Uncomfortable with the way former associates have tried to change the world, he and his friends will try a new approach. While dealing with grand-scale problems, maybe he’ll help out the next generation of Wildstorm heroes, too.
