Gunfire

Gunfire made his debut in Deathstroke the Terminator Annual #2, one of many heroes that appeared as part of DC’s “New Blood” crossover series. Gunfire is Andrew Van Horn, heir to his despised father’s munitions empire, and a veritable living weapon himself. Andrew has the power of “molecular agitation” which he can use to “fire” the atoms of any object at a target. For instance, he can pick up a piece of iron and cause bits of it to be shot like bullets at an opponent. Of course, some materials are more durable than others, and a block of wood, for example, may literally combust while it’s being fired.

But Andrew is more than some human arsenal. He’s a thoughtful (dare we say sensitive?) young man who is struggling to manage his father’s legacy while dealing with his own power. Luckily, he has the aid of Benjamin, a close friend and technical wizard, and Yvette Dubois, a beauty who can take care of herself.
