Totems (Cartoon Frolics)
(Cartoon Frolics, 1998-1999)
™ and ©1999 Paul F. Chabot
It’s a world of violence, with evil threatening at every turn. In towns like Rockwell, citizens are warned to stay in their homes. Meanwhile there is another world, the astral plane, in which beings like the Totems—beautiful and playful female creatures with unusual attributes like cat ears or bushy tails—are common. And when three of them cross over into our world, and into the home of a lonely artist, he finds himself with his hands full. Eating insatiably, taking daylong baths, and inadvertently causing trouble, the Totems weren’t meant to be on our plane. Even if the artist, Buck, actually is the Seeker they claim.
Offbeat and lighthearted, despite the serious undertones of violence and war, this series is published in black-and-white by Cartoon Frolics.
