This was Harvey Comics’ short-lived attempt at trying something in the Mad comic book satire-parody vein. Though an interesting novelty today, it really wasn’t in the same league as Mad, but it did feature the artwork of Jack Davis clone, Howard Nostrand, whose artwork also graced the pages of Harvey’s horror titles such as the Chamber of Chills and Black Cat Mystery. Around the time of issue there were many such Mad rip-offs including EC’s own in-house clone Panic, but none achieved the same type of success because none featured the writing genius of Harvey Kurtzman.
