Crisis on Multiple Earths

In 1985, the year-long maxi-series Crisis on Infinite Earths merged DC’s numerous parallel worlds, creating one streamlined reality.

But the concept of DC’s parallel worlds began with 1961’s Flash of Two Worlds (Flash (1st Series) #123), where the Silver Age Barry Allen first met his Golden Age predecessor, Jay Garrick. That encounter was so popular that DC soon began publishing annual team-ups between the “modern” Justice League from Earth-1 and the JSA from Earth-2. By 1973, even more alternate worlds had been introduced, such as the Shazam Family’s Earth-S, and the Freedom Fighters’ Earth-X.

This book takes the reader back to where the tradition, and the eventual “crisis”, began, and presents the first eight Silver Age cross-over adventures of the JLA and the Justice Society, all from the creative team of Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky, and editor Julius Schwartz.
