Night Glider

Fifteen thousand years ago, the Ninth Age of Man was drawing to a close. In order to break the cycle of destruction that had doomed the first nine ages of mankind, the Ninth Men put her, Captain Glory, and Bombast into suspended animation. Once awakened in the Tenth Age (our time), they were to help serve and protect mankind, teaching them to avoid the mistakes of the past.

This one-shot follows Night Glider (Glida) as she awakes in modern day Chicago. As one of the Gliders, her bones are hollow, like those of a bird. This, in combination with a suit that lets her catch air currents, enables her to fly. Night Glider immediately sets to exploring this strange new world, but winds up falling into the clutches of agents of Dr. Ordiz and General Roag. Those two were also Ninth Men and had put themselves and their followers to sleep when tragedy threatened. However, they had awakened earlier…and their goal was not to protect, but to enslave.
