Hardy Boys

The Hardy Boys first appeared as an ongoing mystery book series started in 1927 by Edward Stratemeyer utilizing the pen name of Franklin W. Dixon. There were many film incarnations including a series on the Mickey Mouse Club in the 1950s and a weekly TV series in the mid-1970s starring Shaun Cassidy and Parker Stevenson. In 1969-1971, there was a Saturday morning animated version in which the sleuthing pair were part of a rock band. This was the version that this comic book was based.
