Mad Dog Magazine
(Blackthorne, 1986-1987)
™ and ©1986 Dok Rarity
Top Lop is one crazy rabbit, but maybe you have to be a little crazy to be a test pilot. He and the other jet jockeys spend any time they’re not chasing bogies chasing women…or rather, bunnies, down at the local watering hole. If they lose their edge, though, the rival wolves (again, literally) will be there to take the advantage, and rule the skies instead. This daily struggle is just one of several stories in this anthology series. In another, Elektrik Eel, assassin, hopes to eliminate her uncool boyfriend, the blind attorney named Dum Dum Doormat, in a mild spoof of Marvel Comics’ Daredevil. A third story introduces Ralph, the rasslin’ rhino, which pretty much explains the events of this tale: he’s a rhino, and he wrestles other rhinos.
Full of puns and humor, this series is published in black-and-white.
