Batman and Superman have teamed up many times over the years.

The two heroes are opposites in many ways. Batman rules in dark Gotham and cultivates fear, while Superman builds trust in clean, bright Metropolis. Batman believes he could clean up Gotham in one day with Superman’s powers. But Superman thinks Batman couldn’t handle super–villains, aliens, and scientific experiments gone awry. Unfortunately, their lack of teamwork during an early mission causes a terrible tragedy.

Now, each year on the anniversary of the event, the two heroes are drawn together once more. As they patrol each other’s cities together, a begrudging respect grows. This series chronicles how their relationship and this respect develop year–by–year and adventure–by–adventure.
