The best science fiction usually incorporates something grounded in the world we know, whether it be the characters, the themes, or the storylines that carry it forward. As a TV show, Stargate SG–1 reached out to science fiction fans through stories based on both real–life scientific principles and historical and cultural mythologies. The same is true of the comic book series. This one–shot sets up the Fall of Rome series in which a group of soldiers come upon a strange holographic message—one that appears to date back to some strange Roman Empire.

Set during the continuity of Season 2 of the cult hit series, the full color adventure is written by James Anthony Kuhoric and drawn by Jorge Correa Jr. It features an exhaustive multitude of variant covers.
