The Best of 2000 A.D.

    (Fleetway Quality, 1985-1995)
™ and ©1986 Fleetway Editions, Ltd.

From 1985 until 1995, Fleetway has been reprinting the best adventures from 2000 A.D. in this monthly title. Like 2000 A.D. itself, each issue starts off with a Judge Dredd story, easily the most popular of the 2000 A.D. characters. Other features are equally notable, however, including such characters as Strontium Dog, a mutant bounty hunter; Rogue Trooper, a genetically engineered soldier whose fallen comrades live on as bio-chips in his gear; and Nemesis the Warlock, an alien warrior who battles against the religious/tyrannical reign of Torquemada.

In addition to the luxury of being able to pick the best of the hundreds of weekly 2000 A.D. stories, this series offered an additional advantage. It can collect together the full storylines instead of forcing readers to keep the various threads together from week to week. This made The Best of 2000 A.D. an excellent value, and one that continued when the title was relaunched as Classic 2000 A.D. in 1995.
