Radrex
(Bullet, 1990)
©1989 Greg Boone
Jack Madshrek was a skateboard-riding hero who dared challenge the villainous cyborg Gotzda’ Most when Most kidnapped his girlfriend, Jill Kazhgon. Most killed Madshrek and ripped out his heart as a trophy.
Upon reaching his place in the hereafter (presumably some sort of skateboarder’s Hell), Madshrek encountered Radrex, “master of all the radical moves on a skateboard,” who had “reached the highest state of roar and became a great spirit and he watches over all the skaters and brings them good shred.” Radrex sends Jack back to the material world with eight hours to live. His heart was still missing, so his body was powered by pure hellfire. If he could defeat Most and save Jill, his soul would be saved, otherwise, Hell would claim his soul forever.
