The Adventures of the Thing

Ben Grimm was a rough-and-tumble test pilot when he agreed to join Reed Richards, Susan Storm, and her little brother Johnny on that fateful space flight back in Fantastic Four #1. As FF fans know, the group became exposed to cosmic rays during the flight which changed them, giving them superhuman powers. For Ben, however, his powers seemed more of a curse, as they transformed him into a grotesque monster known as the Thing.

Ben eventually came to terms with his new form, using his new strength to become the most physically powerful member of the Fantastic Four. The Adventures of the Thing is a four-issue limited series that reprises some of the Thing’s greatest adventures, including his first meeting with Ghost Rider, and the infamous “Thing vs. Thing” time-travel issue in Marvel Two-In-One #50.
