A group of Filipino artists and writers have grouped together to present this collection of stories describing semi–fictional stories about the Filipino experience of freedom. The art style ranges from Norman Rockwell realism to cartoony manga to sketchy notepad style. Most of the events described are simple stories about home and family life, while others are much more fantasy–based, but with the underlying purpose of explaining how each parable helped the Filipino culture in their struggle against tyranny. A winner for best comic book of the year in the Manila Critics Circle Book Awards.
