Paramount Comics paired up with Marvel Comics in the late 1990s to produce comics of movie properties. Snake Plissken is the hero from the movie “Escape From New York.” This series relates the exploits of Snake, an outlaw and bounty hunter, in a mad future America. The action-filled stories juxtapose robots and high-tech weapons with clever comments on modern-day obsessions. As with most media tie-ins, there is a certain value for fans of the movie.
