Zot!

Zachary T. Paleozogt (“Zot”) was a boy who grew up on a more advanced alternate version of Earth. His parents inexplicably abandoned him before he was ten, after which he was cared for by his eccentric uncle Max. Max was a great teacher, and Zot quickly excelled in both school and sports. Most importantly, he became the world arcade marksman champion. He used these skills to become a hero on his home world. He eventually crossed over into our world to stop a robotic rampage. There, he encountered young Jenny Weaver, a kind teenage girl who would eventually become Zot’s girlfriend. The two embarked on a series of high-flying adventures, beginning with the search for the gold key which opens the legendary “Doorway at the Edge of the Universe.”

Zot! is delightfully innocent fun by Scott McCloud, best known for his book, “Understanding Comics.” Later issues also included a backup spoof featuring Cynicalman.
