Savage Fists of Kung Fu

This treasury-sized special reprinted the martial arts stories which originally ran in Marvel’s British weekly, The Avengers (U.K.). The year 1975 was a peak time for the martial arts in American popular culture, with Bruce Lee movies and television series like Kung Fu drawing lots of attention. Marvel, always one to try to tap into popular culture, responded with a host of new series. This special collected stories featuring most of Marvel’s martial arts characters including Iron Fist, the Sons of the Tiger, and Shang-Chi, the Master of Kung Fu.
