Worlds Collide
(DC, 1994)
™ and ©1994 DC Comics, Inc. Milestone and the Milestone logo are ™ Milestone Media, Inc.
The overall Worlds Collide story centers around Fred Bentson, a boy whose powers give him the ability to bridge the gap between fantasy and reality. Since Superman, Superboy, and the other mainline DC characters are considered fiction in the Milestone universe of Dakota, Fred’s ability to make fantasies come true has the effect of bringing the DC universe and the Dakota universe together.
This one-shot title sits in the middle of the fourteen-part “Worlds Collide” crossover story. This issue formed part seven of the story, and was marketed as its own title in order to bring attention to the event. It also came in a special “collector’s set” edition that included stick-on characters of Icon, Hardware, Steel, Static, and others which could be applied to the issue’s glossy cover to make a battle scene.
