Vector
(Now, 1986-1987)
™ and ©1986 Now Entertainment, Inc.
Vector, published in 1986, is a curious mix of conventional artwork and computer-generated graphics. As with many stories of the decade that were created with computers, such as Mike Saenz’ Shatter and Pepe Moreno’s Batman: Digital Justice, computers are integral to the plot.
Henry Vector, mystery writer and computer novice, is given an unusual computer for his birthday by his wife Alice. The machine displays hypnotic images…even after it’s unplugged. When Henry and Alice attempt to return the computer, the store is vacant and apparently has been for years. Meanwhile, the exposure to the computer images is having a deleterious influence on Henry who is experiencing mesmerizing lighting effects. Suspense builds as someone or something, using the computer as a beacon, invades in the couple’s apartment.
