Magic is real. On some parallel worlds, it is a natural resource that is used every day. Unfortunately, on the world called Abaddon, it is a resource that is almost used up. One of their greatest elven scientist/mages, Briah Greenstone has found a way to artificially create the magic energy their world needs to survive. Unfortunately, there are factions that would rather go to other worlds, such as Earth, where magic is in abundance but little used and take what they want. Greenstone and his human wife are killed, but manage to send their infant son, Dylan, to Earth where he is shifted from orphanage to orphanage until he goes off to attend college. There, he learns of an organization called Cerberus which keeps the magical use on Earth to a minimum and keeps invaders from other worlds at bay. And he learns that his father had discovered the key to supplying Abaddon with regulated magical energy but had tied it into his own bloodline, which makes Dylan a very popular person. The bad guys want him dead and the good guys want him alive. And suddenly, Dylan Greenstone, half elf, knows that there’s more going on in the universe than anyone ever dreamed.
