Strange Fantasy
(Farrell, 1952-1954)
™ and ©1954 Farrell Comics
Like its sister publication Voodoo (Farrell), Strange Fantasy seemed to be somehow weirder than most other horror anthologies of its day. Published in the years prior to the inception of the Comics Code, it featured plenty of vampires, zombies, and other monsters. Its oddest pieces, however, were about the human reactions to circumstances they had set up with no supernatural help. These include the mortician who flees from his lover in Paris, kills her when she shows up to ruin his happy marriage in America (dismembering the body to prevent identification), then kills himself when the body is found floating behind his own house.
