Armageddon has come to the Chaos! cosmos and Lady Death awakens in the aftermath in her castle stronghold, as the mortal Hope. Things have changed significantly while she slept, and chief among her discoveries are that on Earth, her various enemies have seized power and her allies face torture and torment at their hands. Purgatori rules a scarlet empire, the archangel Michael commands a region where a broken fragment of Heaven has fallen, and a new menace, the high priestess Nocturne, threatens to conquer the very light of day. Hope must take on the mantle of Lady Death again, for there is much to be done. Fortunately, Vandala the Valkyrie lives to help her out.

Written by Brian Pulido and Len Kaminski and richly drawn by Juan Reis, this mini-series lays out the immediate and dark future of the Chaos! universe.
