The Beatles Experience
(Revolutionary, 1991-1992)
™ and © Infinite One, dba Revolutionary Comics
John, Paul, Ringo, and George: they are known to generations of fans worldwide as the most significant rock band in history. This eight-issue series recounts their lives and careers, from pivotal childhood moments to John Lennon’s death and beyond. It is a fairly thorough chronological account of their lives, with each time segment providing major news headlines and information on other celebrities, such as Eric Clapton, whose lives or careers intersected with those of the Beatles‚.
The focus of the story, however, is John Lennon, and includes speculation about the controversial details of his life with Yoko Ono. But the authors make the assumption that John was more than human, a sort of celestial cosmic entity who took mortal form. Although many fans will probably agree with this assertion, it is not an idea easily proven, and tends to detract from the realism of the series.
