The vixenish Pi is a highly advanced cyborg, an artificially enhanced assassin/ security agent indentured to the powerful Corporation that created her. Pi chose her life willingly, wanting the special implants that provide her power more than anything else. Now, however, she just wants her freedom, and that has to be bought. Her assignments for the Corporation slowly work off her debts, but only the most dangerous jobs give any real hope of ever completely buying out her contract. And then along comes a case guaranteed to buy back her freedom all in one shot. Of course, there’s a catch: her target is the man that trained her, and her former lover.
