Batman: Family

This eight-issue mini-series introduces a host of new rogues to the Batman group of books, all of them working together to not only destroy the Batman, but also to take apart Gotham City piece by piece. Springing out of a four-part back-up feature in Detective Comics, this weekly mini-series starts out featuring the enigmatic vigilante known only as the Tracker. Over the following weeks, new villains were featured, each taking aim at a different member of Batman’s own “family.” Some of these included Athena, the Suicide King, the Technician and Mr. Bugg and the powerful and mysterious Freeway. These new threats to Gotham’s safety are all working together, warring against the assembled might of Batman, Robin, Oracle, Nightwing and the Spoiler. The results of this mini-series inflict lasting effects on Gotham and the Bat.
