Dark forces are at work in Gillespie, Texas. Twenty years ago, a secret sect of Aztecs began a ritual to bring about the return of the Silent One. Meanwhile, one of the Aztec agents fights as a masked wrestler in an exhibition match showcasing his power. Losing his mask in the fight, the agent flees the arena in pain. Twenty years later, the mask is given to wrestler Max Brody in order to provide a new gimmick. Taking the name Holy Terror, Max’s popularity skyrockets in the new persona. However, Max is starting to become uneasy as he begins to have gruesome nightmares involving his masked persona. He also notices that when wearing the mask, he becomes more ruthless and aggressive with his opponents. Can Max defeat the dark forces influencing him through the mask, and what connection does everything have to the coming of the Silent One?
