Athena

Athena seems like your average, cigarette-smoking, guitar-playing, leather jacket-wearing musician. She’s the new guitarist in a band called Serpenteena. She and her fellow bandmates Kallie and Jay have been hitting the clubs around Crete, playing music and getting into fights. All just business as usual for a struggling rock band.

Still, there’s something strange about Athena. For one, she can take on the biggest lugs in the bar, and seems to heal instantly from any cuts and scrapes. Then there’s her friends: the horned bar owner Dionysus, and even the man/woman stripper called Herma (short for “Hermaphrodite”). In case it’s not blatantly obvious, this aspiring rocker is actually the Athena of Greek myth. And Serpenteena’s road tours are going to get very interesting.

Dean Hsieh created Athena for Antarctic’s Absolute Zero, then self-published the first series under A.M. Works.
