It’s the year 2099 A.D. Hyperinflation has affected everything including comic book prices—and crime is out of control. Let’s face the facts, Jerk Bellows AKA the Pummeler is getting his proverbial lunch handed to him. Outgunned, overworked and grossly underpaid, he needs a few super-heroes to clean up the city. Preferably those that don’t sleep on the job or tell boring stories. This is a city where shaking a clenched fist menacingly at someone is an invitation for mayhem. Well, mayhem administered through time-honored playground tactics such as the dreaded Indian burn and the embarrassing head noogie. Shameless plugs for character action poses and crossover story teasers shed some much-needed light on these worn-out marketing tactics. The good humor group at Parody Press! has Punisher 2099 squarely in their sights and has hit their target with hilarious accuracy.
