Pat Savage: The Woman of Bronze
(Millennium, 1992)
™ and ©1991 The Conde Naste Productions
Pat Savage is Doc Savage’s cousin and she loves excitement. Whether it’s keeping a cool head under fire, displaying quick reflexes or deftly handling a Tommy gun, Pat is ready to rock and roll. Physically fit with a roughrider’s mentality, she carries her weight in any situation and has more than earned her ‘Tarzana’ nickname. She has squabbled with Doc over her inclusion on his adventures, and on more than one occasion, defied and tricked him. However, his reluctance to involve her stemmed more from a genuine fear for her safety than from sexism. If one could eavesdrop on a ‘family discussion’ and hear Pat’s firm voice, “Listen guys, I’m no porcelain doll!” one quickly realizes that she is the real deal. Pat Savage is more than Doc’s cousin—she’s a Woman of Action.
