Chris Giarroscu’s Mini-Marvels started out as letter page fill-ins within the classic What If…? title that placed familiar stories and characters in a new and sometimes shocking light. Mostly a collection of 3-panel strips that have since run on the Marvel Bullpen pages in various Marvel magazines, this one-shot contains an entire 28-page adventure starring Spidey and most of the rest of the Marvel Super-heroes. Funny, cute and written with a fond reminiscence of classic Marvel epics, Mini-Marvels Special places Spidey in quite the predicament: he must collect late funds for the Daily Bugle paper that he delivers. Collecting from deadbeat customers like the Green Goblin, a mind-trick playing Prof. Xavier and even the Fantastic Four (who always seem to be out of town or in the Negative Zone on collection day), results in a barrel of laughs and a cranky little Spiderman.
