The shadow of World War II has fallen across the world, and heroes like The Bat, The Owl, and The Clock are doing their part to fight the Nazi forces. The mission at hand is to stop a green-haired, white-skinned madman by the name of Jack the Grin, who has intercepted a Nazi communique and plans to sell the information in it to the highest bidder. The Bat fears the worst: perhaps the Germans have finally achieved the impossible, developing a bomber that‘s radar invisible. If so, it could end the war quickly, “and Hitler’s face will be on the dollar bill.” Catching up to Jack the Grin and beating the truth out of him will be difficult enough, but that might actually be the easy part. Especially considering the Nazis have a powerful and familiar ally on their side….

Giving away much more would spoil the fun, but this Elseworlds mini-series has all the elements that have made so many of DC’s similar alternate history tales great: intelligent twists on classic characters and clever interaction with world history. Written by Dan Jolley and Tony Harris and drawn by Harris and Ray Snyder.
