Best known for her romantic comedies like Lum, Maison Ikkoku, and Ranma ½, Rumiko Takahashi is both the most acclaimed female artist in Japan, as well as one of Its most versatile storytellers. In this three-part collection of a few of her lesser-known and less-appreciated short stories, Takahashi flexes her talent and skills to deliver everything from far-out comedy, to tear-jerking tragedy, to the grotesquely macabre.

Stories include a comedy piece about a volatile newlywed couple who love to fight—literally throwing punches, dishes, and whatever else available—until trouble arises in paradise as the neighbors finally put down their foot and refuse to take the racket anymore; threatening to kick out the pugnacious pair if they so much as drop a plate. Can the lovebirds’ love survive without a fight?
