A motley cast of idiots comprise the Drinkin’ Buddies, a team of social rejects endowed with various super-powers and the ability to make even the most grim reader laugh. The lowbrow humor of this independent black and white is disgusting, vile, and offensive, yet it is impossible not to get a few yucks from its twisted characters.

Stoner Dude is the marijuana chain smoker who knows he’s a comic book character. Side Smilin’ Viv is the cyborg malcontent, Dr. Ball can pull perversity from the jaws of mediocrity, and Helmut is the quintessential angst-ridden character who is slowly losing his grip on reality.

Their adventures are surreal, to say the least, but interesting angles on fighting crime are exposed with a wit and intelligence that makes for an entertaining story.
