To draw some attention to the Teen Titans (2nd Series) title, DC published several one-shots in 1998 that paired individual Titans with other popular young super-heroes, i.e., Superboy/Risk Double-Shot, Robin/Argent Double-Shot, Supergirl/Prysm Double-Shot, and this, Impulse/Atom Double-Shot. The story here finds Impulse and his mentor, Max Mercury, visiting Ivy University, where the Atom’s Time Pool experiment goes awry, creating a chronal disturbance that attracts the attention of Waverider and the Linear Men, the policemen of the timestream in the DC Universe. But can the Linear Men set things right when de-aged versions of our title heroes are running amuck through time? Find out in this entertaining special from writer Dan Jurgens (Superman) and artist Pop Mhan (Spyboy)!

Incidentally, it should be noted that each of these Double-Shot specials sports a cover homage to a classic Silver Age comic book. For example, this book’s cover “swipes” the cover of Showcase #35, the second appearance of the Silver Age Atom.
