Writer/artist Jason Alexander’s Empty Zone is set in a dystopian future, where technology has advanced too quickly and virtually everyone is genetically enhanced. Additionally, the world is monitored by a global government system called Eyemax, similar in concept to the Orwellian Big Brother. In this dark, sci-fi landscape, street-level detectives Frank and Corrine pursue illegal organ merchants and face off against punk-boy street gangs, but as with all fictional detectives worth their salt, they get too close to a bigger mystery and things get interesting.
