From the lengthy list of enemies of the Man of Steel comes Mr. Mxyzptlk, an impish rogue from the fifth dimension. And although usually the white-haired little devil makes trouble, intentionally or not, for Superman and other Earth heroes, here he and his entire dimension face trouble of their own. They’re threatened by a powerful being from the 10th dimension, which has already consumed four other dimensions en route to the fifth. Can Mxyzptlk stop the creature, which initially appears as a beautiful woman but quickly shows its true, less-pleasing face? If he can, his entire collection of comic books—magical, of course—may be the solution. Can fictionalized versions of the Justice League save the day?

This DC one-shot, part of the special “New Year’s Evil” event featuring villains in leading roles, mixes humor and action in featuring and spoofing some popular heroes.
