The Snake
(Special, 1989)
™ and © 1989 Dave Darrigo
In the dark and dangerous streets of the Village, crime has a stranglehold on the few remaining honest citizens. Only Salazar, a mysterious and wealthy businessman, manages to hold the gangs in check and keep the streets relatively safe… and under his iron-gripped control! In the guise of his whip-wielding alter-ego, The Snake, Salazar strikes fear into even the most hardened criminals, and works behind the scenes to keep rival crime lords at bay. For young Bert Symons, reluctantly recruited into Salazar’s conflict with the beautiful but deadly Madame Joy, it is a difficult choice between the lesser of two evils.
Written by Dave Darrigo (Wordsmith, Green Hornet, Tony Bravado), with art by Ron Hobbs, this black-&-white boasts three pages of art by Peter Hsu (Elf Warrior).
